Newt Gingrich: Cash over Oranges

As the Florida primary is approaching like a train seconds away from derailing, I find it my civic duty to write a little something about Newt Gingrich.

Recently Freddie Mac, the extremely corrupt, hand-out crying mortgage giant has released a contract that indicated that the one-time Speaker of the House, was employed by the company. Within three years, he received a $1.6 million paycheck for some work he did with them. What exactly he did for Freddie Mac is questionable. If you ask Newt, he was a historian, but if you can read (I am assuming you can since you are reading this), then you will see that Newt was a lobbyist. His work with Freddie Mac potentially led the massive flow of taxpayer money to offset the failing company.

If you live in Florida, you are no stranger to foreclosures. Thousands upon thousands of people have undergone extreme hardships due to the risky business practices that Freddie Mac subjected Floridians and Americans to. As a result, families were uprooted, often leaving the Sunshine State for more affordable areas.

Therefore, the challenge I give Floridians as they cast their ballot next Tuesday is to truly examine the candidates. Would you prefer to vote for a man who may “sound” like the right option, but instead decided to throw you and your neighbors under the bus by choosing Cash over Oranges?
